Steven E. Bangs has been practicing as a litigator & tax controversy attorney for over 20 years. Steve graduated cum laude from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School & has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Licensed to practice in Michigan, Pennsylvania & the United States Tax Court, he has successfully handled hundreds of tax controversies for individuals & businesses throughout his career including collection challenges, penalty challenges, settlements, responsible officer accusations, criminal tax evasion accusations, innocent spouse, audit, appeals, collection hearings, & litigation in the United States Tax Court. Mr. Bangs also litigates individual, business, & probate/trust disputes in state court. Mr. Bangs enjoys spending time with his family & playing ice hockey.
